He is a man of great medical skill and integrity who can be trusted by doctors and patients. The hospital assigns several newly recruited doctors to study under him, they are: Guan Shan (acted by Liu Siyan), a girl from a wealthy family, Han Zihang (acted by Wallace Huo), a surgeon who has just finished his further studies in the United States, Gong Fan (acted by Xu Nannan), who excels during her studies, and Ren Qiu (acted by Zhang Haotian), a doctor who is from a county-level hospital and to be trained here. The patients here are diverse, including Hao Lin, a female capital prisoner who has a premature delivery, Chen Jiazi, a patient with pleural effusion who is a lonely and eccentric person with many secrets. Various accidents occur in the treating process, and trust and friendship are gradually formed in Sima's team. They also get to know each other's joys and sorrows along with the tense hospital life.
