The 18th China Changchun Film Festival will be held in Changchun, Jilin Province, from 28 August to 2 September 2023. The Golden Deer Award is organised by the China Central Radio and Television (CCTV) and the call for entries is now in full swing.

Requirements

1. Chinese language film production units, producers and distributors are eligible to apply for the Golden Deer Award.

2. Domestic and international producers, filmmakers and distributors are eligible to participate in the festival's screening.

3. Films should be Chinese language feature films that have obtained a national film theatrical licence or have been released between 1 August 2022 and 31 July 2023 (all dates are in Beijing time).

4. The film should have been produced for no more than five years (except for the feature film festival section).

5. The screening time should be at least 70 minutes.

Awards

There are ten awards: Best Film, Jury Prize, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Music, Best Editing and Best Debut Film.

How to Apply

Applications can be made by letter, telephone, website (https://www.chinaccff.com/#/) or email. Upon receipt of the application, the Organising Committee office will notify the submitting party to mail the relevant materials. To enter or exhibit a film, the producer or distributor should provide, in a timely manner and in accordance with the time specified in the film entry form:

1. Application form, CVs of the director and main actors, synopsis of the film's content, stills and posters.

2. DVD samples of the full-length film.
