In 2025, we hope to collect more diverse anthropological video works to present the rich cultural spectrum of Chinese-speaking societies. Whether it is traditional field recordings or experimental video explorations; personalized narratives or structured social observations, we look forward to your submissions. At the same time, we will continue to cooperate with universities, academic institutions and film festivals around the world to provide a broader international stage for your works through online screenings, institutional collections and scholarly dialogues.

CathayPlay.com, launched in early 2019, is a streaming platform dedicated to showcasing the diversity and richness of Chinese independent cinema. Our extensive collection, encompassing over 700 films acclaimed at major global film festivals as of the end of 2023, reflects the wide-ranging Chinese communities worldwide. Continually growing, our library is updated weekly with new films, further enriching our diverse offerings. This includes not only Mandarin and Cantonese but also an array of regional dialects, adding depth and authenticity to our selection.
