The First Maritime Silk Road International Documentary Film Festival to be Held in Quanzhou, China in July
The year 2023 coincides with the 10th anniversary of the initiative to jointly build the 21st century "Maritime Silk Road". In order to further enhance the exchange and mutual appreciation of civilizations in countries and regions along the Silk Road, the first Maritime Silk Road International Documentary Film Festival will be held in Quanzhou, a World Heritage city, from July 3 to July 6.
Guided by the Silk Road spirit of "peace and cooperation, openness and tolerance, mutual learning and appreciation, mutual benefit and win-win", the festival will use documentary images as a medium to continuously promote the creation, exchange and promotion of documentaries from countries and regions along the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. It will build up an open, equal, mutually beneficial and win-win platform for international cultural and industrial cooperation and exchange.
The festival invites about 300 participants, including chairmen of international documentary film festivals, representatives of domestic and overseas production and broadcasting platforms, Chinese and foreign documentary film directors/producers, as well as think tanks, scholars, dignitaries and outstanding youth representatives from relevant countries and regions, to share their experiences and innovative achievements in the field of documentary video, explore the possibilities of China and countries along the Silk Road in cultivating creative talents, expanding humanistic exchanges, promoting industrial cooperation and building a new pattern of film and television exchange and cooperation.
